Marine refers to virtually all forms of construction within the marine environment, whether actually carried out from floating equipment or from the land where access, in some cases, is suitable to complete some or all of the work. Projects are varied in both size and scope and range from the construction of large container terminals, through to wharves, outfalls, ferry terminals, ramps, submarine pipelines cable crossings and shoreline protection. By utilizing our versatile fleet of marine equipment and relying on our experienced and well-trained project staff and crews, FRPD has the capability to complete all sizes and types of marine and infrastructure projects including design-build. Our fleet of marine equipment includes ten derricks from 100 ton to 350-ton capacity and more than 20 material scows from 500 to 2500 tons capacity allowing quick mobilization for any schedule.
At FRPD we also utilize our extensive fleet of pile driving and drilling equipment to support our marine and infrastructure activities. We have a wide variety of hammers including air, diesel, drop and hydraulic impact hammers as well as vibratory hammers; all of which can be mounted on our fixed, hanging, restricted headroom, or vertical travel lead systems. Our selection of drilling equipment, which is second to none in our marketplace, includes augers, down-the-hole hammers, and hammer grabs, and gives us the capability to install caissons ranging in size from 450mm to 1525mm in diameter. Our focus on developing our drilling capabilities over the past decade has proven to be very successful, allowing FRPD to train and retain some of the best drilling crews in the industry ensuring that we can continue to provide our customers and clients with superior service and quality at a competitive price.
