Bird to acquire FRPD
Bird is pleased to announce it has entered into a definitive share purchase agreement with Fraser River Pile and Dredge (GP) Inc. (FRPD).
Headquartered in New Westminster, BC, FRPD has been a cornerstone of Canada’s marine construction industry since 1911. The company employs more than 300 people and is recognized for delivering large-scale projects safely and efficiently across the country—from northern infrastructure support and dredging in the St. Lawrence Seaway to marine remediation in Hamilton Harbour.
With a versatile fleet and deep self-perform expertise, FRPD is ideally positioned to meet Canada’s increasing demand for infrastructure supporting transportation, trade defence and energy.

The acquisition of FRPD builds on Bird’s national infrastructure presence, adding marine construction and land foundation self-perform capabilities.
